Located in New Kensington, Pennsylvania, Teach From DeHart Academy is a private middle school built on the mission to Create Opportunities, Develop Goals, and Change Lives. We believe education should prepare students for more than academic success, which is why we intentionally develop essential soft skills such as communication, leadership, professionalism, critical thinking, teamwork, and personal responsibility. Through rigorous academics, real-world learning experiences, and high expectations, students gain the confidence and skills needed to succeed in school and beyond.
A key part of our culture is our House System, which creates a smaller family within our larger school community. Each student is placed into a house where they build meaningful relationships, develop leadership skills, and foster a sense of belonging. By combining academic excellence with character development and a strong community atmosphere, Teach From DeHart Academy empowers students to reach their full potential and make a lasting impact on the world around them.

The DeHart Education Group exists to help educators, schools, and school systems create transformative learning environments through proven classroom leadership and instructional practices. Built from the successful methodologies developed at Teach From DeHart Academy, our mission is to equip educators with practical, easy-to-implement systems that improve classroom culture, increase student engagement, and develop student leadership. Through The Methodology Playbook, educators gain access to a step-by-step framework that focuses on the fundamentals of great teaching while creating meaningful student-led learning opportunities.
Today, the DeHart Model is impacting thousands of students across multiple states and countries by helping educators master the craft of teaching. Whether supporting first-year teachers seeking confidence in the classroom or experienced educators looking to strengthen their practice, the Education Group provides the tools, training, and strategies needed to build classrooms where students thrive academically, socially, and personally. At Teach From DeHart Academy, travel is a core part of who we are. The Academy was founded on the belief that students learn best when they experience the world beyond the classroom. We believe every child deserves the opportunity to explore new places, meet new people, and gain a broader perspective of the world around them. For us, travel is a non-negotiable investment in a student's growth, confidence, and future.
Our travel program consists of two unique experiences. Pod-Trips provide students with regional educational opportunities throughout the year, including museum visits, sporting events, college tours, community experiences, and small-group bonding activities that strengthen relationships and bring learning to life. Our Business Trips take students beyond their local communities to different states, countries, and continents, where they immerse themselves in new cultures, learn how to navigate unfamiliar environments, and develop the independence, adaptability, and life skills needed to become successful global citizens. Through these experiences, students gain more than memories. They gain confidence, perspective, and a deeper understanding of the world and their place within it.
